Peachiest of the Blues...

sk8awaythedays:

It says it all, my wife is amazing and I love her Soo much, I fought very hard and for a long time for the moment captured in this photograph. She is my everything and now that she is mine im sure the rest of life will fall in to place just fine. Times are a little rough right now but the marine corps isn’t forever, contrary to popular belief. We never really wrote vows but I am sure that she knows. How much she means to me. The week days are rough and then the weekend comes and I see her; I almost instantly feel better, im more relaxed and all the tension in my body disappears. She is my everything and nothing on this planet is more important to me then her. Sometimes I might come off as clingy or that I worry to much, but its hard not to be I just want the best for her. Pa you have made my dreams come true, literally, I love you Soo much and I can’t wait for the years that follow so that I can try to show you just how important you really are.

This weekend was pretty awesome considering it was Mother’s Day weekend and also the fact that I got to see my husband. I swear we live for the weekends until he gets orders to either here or Miramar and it will happen!! We will live together before our enlistment is up!

But anyways, I actually had a lot of fun this weekend at my mother-in-law’s. On Saturday I cooked dinner for her and my father-in-law. My husband, sister, and our friend Damian was there too. She was gushing on how my buffalo chicken were so delicious, along with the mac and cheese. And my father-in-law, well, he’s just happy that he has a good meal with moist chicken. Haha..we joke about that a lot at the house cause my mother-in-law can’t really cook chicken; it’s always dry! I also baked a cheesecake for dessert that night, but everyone was too full to eat it. It was delicious though!

All my mother-in-law wanted for Mother’s Day was for us to go to church with her, and we did that. After church, my hubby got a haircut and shortly after that we had to leave because I had to work that afternoon/night and my hubby had a three hour ride back to Yuma.

Good weekend and I can’t wait to see my husband again this weekend! :)

Day in the life of a Military Fiance: Military girlfriend VS military wife.

nynahuynh:

lovpink9211:

So I have been seeing people get pissed off about this subject. The only difference is that a military wife is married. Other than that THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE!!!!! Ok first, this part is for military wifes. Were you born married to him? No you aren’t YOU were once a military girlfriend too!!!!…

You are dumb, really, really dumb.

It has been a week since I got back from TAD in Yuma. It’s nice to be back but I dread going to work everyday. A lot of the night crew Marines went to Yuma to support WTI and that leaves the shop with very few workers. I’m sure they’ve been busting their asses since they were still flying. These past couple days of work for me has been hectic. I was put on troubleshooting the first day I got back and that turned out horribly given that I suck at troubleshooting the birds when they are launching and when something avionics is wrong with the bird, and I’ve been gone for two months not seeing any of these birds. But yeah, I did get yelled at for something simple: the stupid instrument lights that keep going out. Oh well though, a CPL was out there fixed it..on the second night I was at work, I was put on this formation light MAF. I was to figure out what was wrong with the formation lights because they were all out. I asked my peers what I could do cause I honestly didn’t know where to start. I’m not one of those persons that get everything automatically. My peers did help me out and eventually I figured out what was wrong with the formation lights, but I still feel dumb just because it was an easy gripe and I went around the hard way of taking panels off before I finished doing the easy part.

And that was the night when everything went to shits and I mean everything. All of us junior Marines got it, I mean with the ass chewings and all the yelling. Apparently, on the line we were busting ass and getting the job done, but in the shop, I guess we were something else. We were told that we were rude having no respect for our NCO’s and for bullshitting around way to much, just being too relaxed in the shop. Yes, I understand that I have to respect an NCO because that person has earned their rank but there’s a difference giving a person respect and having respect of that person. I also understand that they all have a deployment under their belt and they know a lot more than I do just because they were there at the time and enlisted into the Marine Corps before I did. So what? Yes I respect them for that, but no I will not respect a person if they don’t deserve it. Consider this, most of the LCPLs in the shop that deployed has picked up CPL. There are about two that are still LCPLs. One will probably pick up within the next two months and the other one, well it’ll be a while before he pick up, and as of June, he will be a LCPL for two years. The latter of the two wishes that he was a CPL so he can get respect from the junior LCPLs. I’m sorry but I will not give respect to him. It pisses me off that just because he’s been deploy, he can show up late to work and not get in trouble. There are multiple times that this has happened and the Marine Corps teaches you to be  early and if you’re at your appointed place of duty on the dot, you’re still late; the Marine Corps teaches us to show up 15 minutes prior to the time we’re suppose to be there. This past Monday, on a day off, when I was helping my sister move barracks, I received a phone call from one of my peers at 1630. He asked me to check the room next door to see if this LCPL was in his room. Turns out he was in the room and I had to wake his ass up for work; he was an hour late to work by the way. No, I am not gonna fucking look after his ass when he’s got no responsibly of getting up and getting ready for work on time. Another thing that pisses me off about him is that he is fucking lazy. He doesn’t do anything at work; all he does is sit on the fucking couch and play on his phone. So, I have no fucking respect for him.

I’m sure that when I’m in their position I’ll understand what they mean, but until then, I’m just gonna be a square-away Marine.

Found out today that I might not be able to go on this deployment thanks to a certain female in my shop. They took all the females off the MEU list and all the females off the deployment list except one. I’m pissed cause what if I don’t have another chance to deploy to Afghanistan??

My hubby is getting excited! He has been asked to go to Advance Cal in Biloxi, MS! He says that they usually send Marines near the end of their enlistment, but he gets to go in the middle of his enlistment. And they usually only send NCO’s. Hopefully he gets selected for a spot so while I’m away at EMV, he’ll have something to enjoy. I’m so proud of him because he’s just a Lance Corporal, but he’s about to pick up CDI (collateral duty inspector)!!! That’s a huge accomplishment because in his shop, most Marines pick up CDI when they are a Corporal. My babe is just that awesome!

Also, he is going on this next meritorious Corporal board. I have my fingers crossed for him. This board will also have to be a dick sucking board again (I’m just kidding) but another female is gonna be on that board..same thing might happen, maybe not…
